I am Lei Wang from Xi’an, China. I graduated from Fourth Military Medical University in 2002 and got Doctor’s degree at Department of Dermatology, Xijing hospital, Fourth military medical university in 2007. After graduation I became a faculty member of Department of Dermatology, Xijing hospital.
Dermatology has many branches and dermatopathology is the most important one. I am interested in dermatopathology and have been training in this field for 8 years. I was trained under Professor Gao Tianwen, Chairman of our Department, and also the newly elected Chairman of Chinese society of dermatopathology. Under his direction, I became more and more familiar within this area. I have published 7 English papers and nearly 30 Chinese papers in recent years.
The practice of dermatopathology in our department represents the highest level in China. However, I have to acknowledge there is still very big gap between us and the world class. It’s the responsibility of the new generation of Chinese dermatologist to catch up with the world class. For me, a systemic training of dermatopathology is really needed.
I met Dr. Tetsunori Kimura at the 10th China Japan Joint Meeting of Dermatology in 2008. I was very grateful to him to encourage me and support me to participate the annual meeting of American Society of Dermatopathology in the name of NPO Japan Dermatopathology Promotion Organization, though it was frustrated because of Swine influenza epidemic. In these two years I was wondering it would be my great honor to be trained under Dr. Kimura. But I was also wondering if my request would be imprudent and irrational. I cannot hesitate to tell Dr. Kimura my thinking this year and was very excited that I will be accepted by him in 2011.
It is out of my ability to fully support myself for a half year at Sapporo. I really need support from NPO Japan Dermatopathology Promotion Organization to support my training fee and daily expenses.
I am very grateful for your understanding and generous. I am promising that your support will lead to the rising of an outstanding Chinese dermatopathologist.

私は王雷です。中国の西安出身で、2002年に第四軍医大学を卒業し、2007年、第四軍医大学西京病院にて皮膚科学の博士号を取得しました。その後、同大学病院の皮膚科に勤務しています。
皮膚科学の中にも多くの専門分野がありますが、皮膚病理は最も重要な分野だと思っています。私は皮膚病理に興味を持ち、当病院皮膚科主任教授の高天文先生のもとで8年間勉強してきました。高教授は中国皮膚病理学会の新しい理事長でもあります。私は彼の指導により、この皮膚病理の分野においてますます理解をすすめ、この数年で英語論文を7編、中国語論文は30編近くを発表しました。
当大学皮膚科による皮膚病理の研究は、中国国内において高いレベルにあります。しかし、世界と比べると、なお大きな隔たりがあると認めざるを得ません。世界レベルに追いつくことが、中国の若い世代の皮膚科研究者の責任だと考えております。私においては、皮膚病理の体系的な研修がまさに必要だと思っております。
私は2008年に、第10回日本ー中国合同皮膚科学術会議において、木村鉄宣先生とお会いしました。木村先生が私を励まし、そして、NPO法人皮膚病理発展推進機構のサポートでアメリカ皮膚病理学会の年次総会へ参加できるように（新型インフルエンザの流行により参加は叶いませんでしたが）取りはからってくださったことに、心から感謝しております。この2年、私は木村先生の元で研修を受けられればと考えておりました。一方で、私の願いは不躾ではないかとも悩みましたが、私の意志を木村先生に伝えずにはおられませんでした。そして、2011年に研修医として受けいれられることを、今はとても喜んでおります。
札幌での半年を自活するのは、私にとっては容易ではありません。研修費と日常の生活費を補うために、NPO法人皮膚病理発展推進機構のサポートが不可欠です。
皆様のご理解とご協力をいただければ大変有難く思います。皆様のご支援が、一人のすぐれた皮膚病理医の誕生となるよう、力の限りを尽くします。
